Kristy Lopez-Bernal is a Cuban-American comedy writer living in New York City and working bicoastally.
She most recently wrote for TBS's The Detour. At the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Kristy wrote for various house sketch and video teams — including Beige, One Idiot, and Horse + Horse — and co-wrote the sketch shows Fuck Nostalgia and What The Horse Saw. She was a regular contributor to Funny Or Die. She co-created and wrote the Above Average sketch series Katie: A Lady and the New York Television Festival Official Selection web series The Brothel and Gary Saves the Graveyard. She has also written original content for Univision, Fusion, People Magazine, and other networks.
Kristy is originally from Miami, FL and graduated twice from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
